Key Accountabilities:
• Recognize cross-cultural and cross-organizational differences, and promote, develop, and maintain understanding and collaboration among secondees from SONATRACH, PTTEP, Algerian staff, expatriates,
• Contribute to updating, developing, and maintaining effective rules, regulations, and guidelines for accounting area.
• Contribute to the preparation of departmental work plan & budget and the effective budget control as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics of comparative cost analysis
• Monitor and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statistics/report of comparative cost analysis for effective operation cost.
• Ensure compliance on payment obligation of the goods and service contracts and ensure compliance to local
regulations and procedures regarding to taxes
• Key working details include the followings:
• Account Closing (ERP used: SAP)
1. Payment process, invoice approval and payables process
2. Cost structure and accounting posting
3. Cash and bank reconciliation
4. Cash call estimation, preparation, and offsetting process
5. Accrual, amortization, reclassification, and adjustment
6. Stock movement transactions
7. Cost allocation process
8. Statement of expenditure / statement of account / cost reports preparation
9. Fixed asset registration
10. Financial disclosure (support the disclosure/requirement for PTTEP and partner)
• Support on Work Program and Budget preparation and submission process
• Financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet and Income Statement)
• Audit planning and handling
1. Third Parties Audit
2. Regulator Audit from ALNAFT
3. Partner Audit from SONATRACH and PTTEP
• Monthly report preparation
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance with oil and gas accounting standards, regulation and guidelines, and
integrity of financial / accounting systems or processes
• Implementation of SAP S/4HANA system for FI/CO modules and the related functions
• Develop procedure relating to accounting function
• Monitor and manage work progress and team members within accounting section
• Consultation on Procurement related matters

Professional Knowledge & Experience: 

• Degree in Accounting, Chartered accountant license (Algeria) 

• Experience in accounting work - minimum of 5 Years (Oil and gas sector - preferred) 

• Good communication in English and French 

• Good analytical skill and good command in excel 

• Experience in SAP FI/CO Additional Desirable Qualifications: 

• Experience in taxation
