Key Accountabilities:
• Managing (may include the recruitment of planners) the planning team of the Project Direction
• Interface with the EPCIC contractor with regards to all planning and progress activities
• Reviewing, commenting and approving the EPCIC contractors schedules and planning/progress/change orders/etc. 

• Reviewing, commenting and approving the EPCIC contractors weekly and monthly reports with regards to planning and progress activities
• The Preparation of the Project Direction Master Schedule.
• Analysis of critical path. Set-up of progress measurement system and schedule follow-up in coordination with Project Control Manager and planners.
• Manage all ongoing updates and schedule impacts (interface Milestones), progress tracking and revision of existing schedules for all EPCIC activities.
• Establish and maintain a consistent operating routine to ensure project progress reports are generated and issued on time. Pulling reports/P6 extracts if requested. Setting required layouts/coding structures in P6 for packages planners to apply. • Production of 'what if' scenarios and plans to suit package manager requirements.
• Production of risk analysis data if required by the project. 

• Ensure the requisite quality of data is maintained
• Continual review and development of procedures and common support processes with contractor authorities resulting in improved business effectiveness.
• Establish the project planning control system and progress methodology, closely liaise with package managers to ensure the effectiveness of planning management tools and process, in coordination with contractors activities.
• Initiate and maintain close liaison with all members of the project team and management
Professional Knowledge & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business discipline or equivalent. 

• Oil and Gas relevant industry experience. 

• Minimum of 12 years’ experiences at planning level and planning engineer level. 

• Minimum of 7 years’ experiences at planning level or planning engineer level in EPCIC contract context. 

• Exposure to high capital value projects in a multi-disciplined environment.
• Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Technical expert on Microsoft project / Primavera P6 v.7
• English and French mandatory. 

• Capable of working independently, efficient, and competent in carrying out duties.
• Able to travel to the field if there is any short business mission i.e. Desert camp, CPF site.
